Compliance
For over 35 years, I have drafted hundreds of employee policy manuals and created numerous policies in compliance with the changing employment statutes and court decisions.
My focus is to provide management with "self-administering" policies and guidance to avoid many potential employment issues and to provide the legal support for the unique or confrontational situations that inevitably arise.
The goal is to assist in creating a human resources/management structure that complies with the law and tightly fits the unique needs of each business or organization. This focus allows companies to use human resource practices as part of their overall corporate governance and risk management strategies.
Management is able to use my background and experience in handling individual employment circumstances such as hiring/firing, discrimination allegations, medical leaves disability situations and wage/hour issues. In some instances, I provide internal investigation services for employee allegations working directly with in-house counsel or with outside litigation counsel.
Working with the company, we are able to develop proactive risk management solutions and build a stronger human resources environment.
Executives and senior members of management are frequently placed in complicated situations involving discrimination allegations, negotiating severance agreements and dealing with existing non-competition or other restrictive agreements. Working with the individual, we are able to develop and coordinate the best options and outcomes in these sensitive situations.
